Ali Akbar Norouzi-Shayan is an operative in Quds Force's operations unit, who was involved in the attempted attack in Thailand on 14 February 2012. Norouzi-Shayan has recently been active in Syria. Norouzi-Shayan fled Thailand on the morning of 14 February, shortly after the explosion in an apartment in Bangkok, which occured while the Quds Force squad was preparing explosive charges for the attack. He was defined by senior Thailand police officials as a key player in planning the attack that was to be carried out in Bangkok. Thai legal authorities issued a warrant for his arrest for his involvement in the incident.
