Hamed Abdallahi

Hamed Abdallahi is commander of the special operations unit of the Quds Force known as Unit 400 responsible for conducting terror operations globally. Originally from the Shah Abad district of Tehran, Abdallahi has commanded the unit for about six years.

Before his appointment as Unit 400 commander, Abdallahi served in various positions in the IRGC and the Quds Force, including as commander of the Zahedan and Zabol area within the IRGC; deputy to Qassem Soleimani when the latter was commander of the 41st Division; and head of the Quds Force intelligence branch.

Abdallahi has personally been involved in carrying out terror attacks. For example, he took part in an attack on a Sunni mosque in Zahedan, during which an RPG was fired at the holy site.

As head of Unit 400, Abdallahi is involved in all of its activity, approving attacks from their inception to execution, including intelligence collection, operational planning, final approval and operational considerations following attacks.

The U.S. has designated Abdullahi under sanctions legislation for his involvement in terror.
