New details on Majid Alavi

As we reported in the past, Majid Alavi is a senior Unit 400 official for special operations in Quds Force who commanded a series of terror attacks by Quds Force in 2012.

Alavi's real name is Mohammad Pour Naimi. born: Tehran, 23 March 1957. He speaks Arabic and has a degree in management.

During the Iran-Iraq war, Alavi served in the MOIS military affairs department. In 2007, he was appointed head of the foreign intelligence division in the MOIS.

In 2009, he was appointed in parallel as acting intelligence minister, and less than two years later he was dismissed and transferred to Quds Force.

Over the past 18 months, Majid Alavi has been involved intensively in directing Quds Force activity in Syria, to assist the Syrian regime against the insurgents.

As part of this activity, Alavi visits Syria routinely. Troughout the years of his activity,

Alavi has visited many countries, including in Asia and Europe, using a diplomatic passport and aliases.

One of the aliases he uses is Amir Masoud Asadi Tehrani.
