Unit 340 assists the various industries in Iran in developing various aerial platforms, such as UAVs and drones, for Iran's proxy elements.
The platforms being developed include:
"Tlash" and "talash-system": A suicide UAV that can carry about 2 kg of explosives. It has a very high degree of precision, uses special Iranian software called Kian-Waypoint, and reaches an altitude of 300 meters and a range of 120 km.
Dodge: An attack and reconnaissance UAV that can carry a large amount of explosives.
Sayad-52: A photography UAV that also launches ammunition, with a range of 52 km, an altitude of 3 km, and a camera with a 20 km range that can be controlled by an operator.
Phantom-4 drone: For a range of 800 meters, with vertical takeoff. Iran has developed an additional dropping system for explosives.
Photography drone: A drone with a special camera that cannot be detected and does not create noise. It is a "fire-and-forget" device that can return to its launch location independently.
